Loyalty cards for coffee shops.
A digital stamp card that lives in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, under your own name. The buy-nine-get-one-free your regulars already understand, minus the paper card nobody can ever find at the till.

A digital loyalty card works exactly like the paper one, minus the paper.
The customer scans a QR code at the counter once and the card drops into the wallet app already on their phone. From then on your barista scans it and the stamp lands. Nothing to download, nothing to carry, nothing to reprint.

Pick the coffee preset
The card is already built: 10 stamps, a free pastry at 5, a free coffee at 10. Change any of it and watch the pass update as you type.
- 02
Put the QR on the counter
A regular scans it while their flat white is being made, and the card is in their wallet by the time they pick it up. No app store, no password, no plastic to lose.

Your barista scans
Staff open Orbit Scan, scan, and carry on. The card in the customer's pocket updates itself and the free coffee appears the moment it is earned.
The details that only matter once you are actually busy.
A 20 minute cooldown, enforced properly
A coffee shop can legitimately be visited twice in a day, so the card is not locked to one stamp per day. It is locked to one per cooldown window, checked in the database under a row lock, so two staff scanning the same card at once cannot double stamp it.
A reward halfway, not just at the end
A card that pays out nothing until the tenth visit gets abandoned around the third. The coffee preset puts a free pastry at 5 stamps for exactly that reason, and you can move it.
Nothing freezes after you launch
Cycle length, rewards, colours and wording all stay editable. Save a change and it pushes out to every card already sitting in a wallet, so a bad guess in week one is not permanent.
One person, one card
Email is unique at the database level and phone numbers are matched on their last nine digits, so the same regular signing up twice lands on the record they already have rather than starting again on a clean card.
Unlimited staff and locations
Every barista who needs the scanner gets it, and a second site does not cost you a plan change. Every scan records who did it and where.
Your list stays yours
CSV and JSON export are available on every plan and are not held behind a tier. The customers you sign up are your customers.
Coffee shop loyalty cards, answered.
- How does a digital loyalty card work in a coffee shop?
- The customer scans a QR code at the counter once and the card drops straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. After that, your barista scans the card from their phone at each visit and the stamp lands. There is nothing for the customer to download and nothing for them to carry.
- How many stamps should a coffee shop loyalty card have?
- Ten is the default Orbit builds for a coffee shop, with a free pastry at five and a free coffee at ten. The mid-cycle reward matters more than the number: a card that pays out nothing until the tenth visit tends to get abandoned around the third.
- Can the same customer stamp twice in one visit?
- No. Coffee shops run a twenty minute cooldown by default, so a second scan inside that window is refused. The limit is enforced in the database under a row lock, so two baristas scanning the same card at the same moment cannot double stamp it.
- Do customers need to download an app?
- No. The card lives in the wallet app already on their phone. Only your staff install anything, and that is the scanner.
- Can I change the card after customers already have it?
- Yes. Cycle length, rewards, colours and wording all stay editable, and saving pushes the change out to every card already sitting in a wallet. Nothing is frozen once the card is live.
Running something other than a coffee shop? The same card works for every trade on the Orbit loyalty platform, with a preset built for each one.
